Saval arrives in Costa Rica with cardiology and ophthalmology products and medicines
Saval Laboratories announced its entry into the Costa Rican pharmaceutical market, after the acquisition of the Stein Laboratories production plant in Cartago.
“We are very happy to be able to expand our reach to Costa Rica, a country that has a powerful pharmaceutical production industry and is recognized for its high quality standards,” said Mauricio Segares, Manager for Central America and the Caribbean at Laboratorios Saval. It is worth mentioning that the Chilean company will launch more than 20 products from the cardiology, ophthalmology and respiratory lines in the Costa Rican pharmaceutical market.
The operation of the Chilean company will be led by Segares, and responds to the company’s Strategic Plan with respect to strengthening its position in the region. Regarding the workers who currently work at the plant, Laboratorios SAVAL is actively working so that all of them (170 people) become part of the company’s global team.

The Chilean company has more than 80 years of experience and presence in Belize, Bolivia, Chile, Ecuador, Guatemala, Haiti, Honduras, El Salvador, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.
