What to expect from the fourth season of Succession, this family fight to run a media empire?
The fourth season of the award-winning series ‘Succession’ premiered this Sunday on HBO Max, and critics warn that it will come loaded with more drama around this business intrigue that has kept viewers captivated with its plot for years.
Created by British screenwriter and producer Jesse Armstrong, the saga centers on the struggle for power of Waystar RoyCO, an international media conglomerate owned by the Roy family. Well, despite the succession plan established to run this media empire, its members seek to lead the business in their own way.
The fourth season marks the beginning of the end of ‘Succession’ and will have 10 episodes. Every Sunday, until May 26, 2023, a new episode will be available.
The plot of said season anticipates the sale of the Waystar RoyCo conglomerate to technological millionaire Lukas Matsson (Alexander Skargård). After so many internal struggles, the family conglomerate is heading towards its decline.
The end of a series like ‘Succession’ represents a complete television event. Suffice it to mention that this satirical drama, which premiered on June 3, 2018, has won 13 Emmy Awards, including Outstanding Drama Series, for its second and third seasons. The third season, released in October 2021, won the SAG Award for Dramatic Ensemble and swept the WGA, DGA and PGA.
If for some reason you did not see the series from the beginning or you want to relive the conflicts of the Roy family, on HBO Max you can also see the previous seasons (1,2 and 3).
